Get over here!
By Car.
It is possible to drive into the centre of Brussels without too many issues. It is a busy large city so be aware of that. Some hotels include parking, others charge extra to park your car for the length of your stay. Check with the hotel on-line.
There is a parking close to the venue (Interparking Square Albertine/Albertina) if you need it, it is accessible on Rue des Sols / Stuiversstraat here: https://goo.gl/maps/G5r4gEwwsiR2
Be aware that Sat Navs / GPS systems often have the road names in either French or Dutch!
Most people find that there are plenty of hotels within 10-15 minutes walking distance of the venue.
By Taxi.
We strongly recommend only using official taxi waiting points at the station or airport. Do not just get in to a car which is driven by some random guy that approaches you. UBER does operate in Brussels, you will need to load the app on to your smart phone and have an account set up.
By Train.
Brussels is very well served by train from most major towns and cities in Europe. There are frequent high speed Intercity services from London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Cologne, Berlin.
For the centre and SQUARE you need to get to Bruxelles Central / Brussel Centraal.
Thalys and Eurostar trains arrive at Brussels South which is: Bruxelles Midi / Brussel Zuid. Yes confusing!
We have found that Trainline Europe is a great site to use to find out times and the cost of rail fares. https://www.trainline.eu/
Within Brussels there is an underground Metro system. This operates a frequent and fast service from the main railway station to close to the venue.
Full details and fares can be found on the website: https://www.brussels.be/public-transport
By Air – Brussels Airport (Zaventem – BRU)
Brussels is served by two airports, the main airport (BRU) is served by a large number of regional and international carriers as shown on their route map: https://www.brusselsairport.be/en/passngr/schedules
Getting from the airport:
Train: Brussels Airport-Zaventem railway station is located on level -1 of the terminal, at a small distance from the arrivals hall (2nd floor) and the departures hall (3rd floor). The train takes about 17 minutes to get to central Brussels.
Details on times and fares can be found here: http://www.belgianrail.be/
Bus: The bus station is located on level 0 - one floor down from the arrivals hall - and can be easily reached by using the escalators or elevators.

Visit the main Brussels Airport site for full details on other passenger related information: https://www.brusselsairport.be/en/passngr
By Air – Brussels South Airport (Charleroi – CRL)
The other airport in the region is Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL).
It is served by some of the budget airlines from European cities. Destinations can be found here:

The airport is served by a train/bus shuttle service. Details can be found on this page:

A bus shuttle service also operates to Brussels City Centre and operates every 30 minutes. For the best price it is advisable to book on-line in advance. Details here:
